Last week in our Wednesday Ladies’ Bible Study, we were studying Psalm 136. This psalm is completely about the eternality of God’s love. This is His never-ending story, that through all things God shows his love.

This psalm speaks of giving thanks to God because of the beauty of His creations. The heavens, the earth, the stars, the sun and moon.

The Psalmist reminds us of where God was in history. Saving His people from Egypt. His mighty power by parting the Red Sea and rescuing them from Pharaoh’s army.  And leading His people through the wilderness to reveal to them, His special people, His character and glory.

It speaks of God’s covenant land of Israel to which He led His people.  And the covenant with Abraham which carries through us, the remnant.

This Psalm is all about love, mercy, kindness, and God’s faithfulness.

It was talked about, in our study, that without God we would not be able to love one another or understand what His love truly means. He is our example.

Wherever you are, God can find you. What is your personal story with God? He is waiting to be part of it; and He wants all of us to experience His love, faithfulness, mercy, and kindness that is spoken in Psalms 136.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love is eternal” (Psalms 136:1).
