Have you ever come upon a situation where you find yourself admiring something or somebody? Maybe it’s something they’re doing or saying that you find exciting or interesting. Then you say to yourself, “Wow I wish I could do that!” But then… you immediately talk yourself out of it!

To be honest, we’ve all backed out of inspired moments. Why do you think that is?  Why is it that we limit ourselves to things that we find easy for us, but never do the exciting stuff, interesting stuff or just other stuff?

God has created us to be special. Special in His eyes in the way He has created us. I believe that means that we’re not supposed to limit ourselves. Rather, we should allow God to use us completely. I believe that in whatever season you happen to be in your life, God can use you.

And as we go from one season to the other our lives change. And in order to grow, we should allow ourselves to change with it. That means acknowledging the different gifts, skills, talents and abilities that God has given us that we may not have used or perhaps never even thought we had!

What I’m saying is, if the Holy Spirit has given you something new and you’re wondering, “Can I do that,“ don’t dismiss it! Pursue it with everything you have, knowing that God will lead you and will be with you though this time of spiritual growth and maturity.

I have found that doing something totally out of my wheelhouse can actually be something amazing and rewarding. Simply because I’m honoring God with the desire that He had placed on my heart. I’m happy that He wants me to do better.  So, my final advice is, let’s not limit ourselves – remember, we serve an UNLIMITED God!
