I was thinking today… about what to write this week and, as usual, I asked for God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit to guide me and give me the words. I realized I didn’t want to write about me or my struggles, I wanted this to be about God. And that’s when it hit me – it’s not about me or you, it IS about God.

I think that can be the issue sometimes. It is so easy to become self-absorbed with our personal struggles that we miss the point of what God is doing. It’s not all about us, we miss the forest for the trees. We can get so wrapped up in our challenges and drama that we fail to see the big picture. We fail to see what God may be doing in our lives through that challenge or issue.

We need to open our eyes and be aware. God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, have not left us. Maybe we just can’t understand what they are doing behind the scenes. Maybe you and/or your circumstances are changing because you need to move forward in order to grow and to glorify God.

I do believe God will make things clear in our lives if we just keep seeking His guidance and trusting that He will put us on the right path. His will always, not our own. It is about God and what He has planned for our lives. Move aside and allow God to take control, because it’s not about you.

(John 1:5) “This is the message that we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light, in him there is no darkness at all.”

(2 Samuel 22:32-34) “For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.”

(Exodus 15:11) “Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?”

(Isaiah 40:28) “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.”
