WEEKLY WORD – INSPIRATION (9/28/21)

I was thinking today… about inspiration. Honestly, sometimes I can get so focused on challenges, problems, trying to solve and figure it all out, that I get in a really negative and depressed state of mind. I think it is easy to go down that road with all that happens in our lives and our world.

We can all use some inspiration everyday! When I was thinking about this while I was driving earlier this evening, I saw a beautiful rainbow! Wow! Talk about a beautiful, inspiring gift from God!

Sometimes things happen that encourage and inspire us, we get a new job, a friend calls, we find a great book etc., while other times we need to be more pro-active and look for that inspiration.

Take a walk in nature, look at the clouds, listen to music, watch the sunrise/sunset, and the list could go on and on. You may be having hard times, but you can still find Gods’ beauty and creativity in the midst of it. There is still good even when it seems all bad.

I would like to encourage all of us to open our eyes, ears, minds and hearts to all of God’s wonderful, inspirational creativity and beauty that’s all around us everyday. We need to be mindfully aware of it. Don’t let yourself get dragged down in the negativity, instead let God lift you up by the inspiration of His mighty hands and His wonderful creations (including you!)!

(Genesis 1:31) God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning – the sixth day.

(Philippians 4:8) Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.

(Psalm 139:14) I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
