I was thinking today… Joy – how can we have true joy when our world is in chaos and the outside world is upside down? How do we have joy – inner joy – when we are in a storm? Obviously we all have times of sadness, anger, frustration, etc., but how do we not get so wrapped up in and consumed by those feelings that our joy is lost?

We have to come back to our Father and stay focused. Don’t stop reading Scripture, praying, going to church, bible study, and reaching out to Christian brothers and sisters. Don’t lose sight of the bigger picture. As Christians our joy comes from God who gave Jesus to us, to teach us about His kingdom and to save us from our sin so that we can be joined in heaven one day with our Creator. Our life needs to be rooted in God. We need to always come back into the arms of our loving Father.

“Though you have not seen him, you love him and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls” (1 Peter 1:8-9).

I would like to encourage all of us to also read 1 Peter 1:1-7 as well.
